Yeah, I did not have a choice on the move from a 2021 model to a 2022, when they stopped production of 2021’s late in 2021 and shifted production to 2022’s, the dealer went ahead and upgraded my order to a 2022. And yeah that probably did extend the wait time to get it built. From all I have read here and other forums there just is no consistency on how GM is building these vehicles, some get theirs in 2 to 4 months others like me are now looking at over 8 months and from what I can see it has nothing to do with electronic (chip) issues some are getting fully load trucks in 4 months and mine is really not loaded up with a lot of options and is at 8 months now and still waiting! I think Dealers are a lot to blame, I do believe they can move our orders up and down on their order allocation with GM, so say they want to get some more Dealer stock vehicles they can bump our orders down on their order list that GM sees and move their Dealer stock vehicles up!? I may be wrong but have heard that from a couple of different places. Anyone out there know if this is true?
