Here’s some info I found relative to the 6L80 6 speed transmission for your truck. It seems the manufacturer, GM, has known about the issue..
Here’s the lawsuit filed just 5 days ago.. I’m not certain though whether it includes the 6L80 or not, but it definitely lists the 8L80
