I have yet to see a method to actually minimize the brake dust itself… but what has worked on some of the cars I’ve owned that produce a great deal of brake dust is to protect/polish the wheels themselves. This makes it easier to clean the wheels during a wash.
As an example, the brake dust really stocks to an unpolished wheel and from that point can only be removed with a rag/brush by hand. But if I polished my wheels, I can just spray them down with a hose and that would remove most if not all of the brake dust, depending on how good of a polishing job I did.
Does anyone else know of an actual methord to reduce the amount of brake dust on these cars?
