I know exactly where you are coming from my friend.
My wife and I just leased a 2019 GMC Terrain (Denali) and we noticed the first time that we drove it at night that the (Intel Beam) auto-dimming headlight system would not switch back onto the high beam until 3 full seconds after the oncoming vehicle had gone by us. A couple of days after that we started having troubles with the 8″ in-dash touch screen. It would not display the fan speed bar graph. Instead, all that it would display is, “Climate Control Off”.
You were able to rotate the manual control knob and you could both hear and feel that it was working but it would not show the bar graph so that you could visually see the actual settings that you had it on.
So we first called the dealer concerning the high beam delay and I was informed that there wasn’t anything that they could do for me other than to suggest that I turn this feature off and operate the headlights manually. Then the other touch screen problem arose.
I decided that I might have better luck if I called GM Customer Service and explained the situation to them, so I did. It has been over two weeks ago now and I have yet to have anyone contact me about this although I have called almost on a daily basis and every time I get a lady with a foreign accent who is so apologetic and I have also asked if someone could just get back in touch with me via email as it is difficult for me to talk on the phone because I am hearing impaired. Each time they note this but have yet to contact me by email.
My wife and I have for the past 20 years been devout Ford owners and she and I decided to lease our first GM product because she liked the vehicle after test driving it. The bottom line is, what good is any vehicle if the manufacturer can’t or won’t make any attempt to honor their warranty.
As far as we are concerned they are a worthless company based on the way that they have treated us.
