I have the same issue with my 2016 Sierra 4×4 I have had them look at it in the shop for over a year. Initially I thought it was just a quirk, But it never went away. The Service managers just seem to throw their hands up and said that is the way it is. I now have 38K on the truck and still same issue. I am concerned that when the drive train warranty runs out I will be without a transmission.
Issues.
1; Told to wait till temperature in truck warms up. In winter that is 15 minutes of idling in the driveway.
2: vehicle clunks going into gear if not 100% warmed up
3; Once in a while, vehicle hesitates going around corner from a start, This is annoying as is or could be a safety hazard.
4; Clunk once in a while while even warmed up.
Of course, it seems that these cannot be duplicated at the shop.
I have owned trucks for over 40 years Never had this issue in the past, if we did , then the transmission was in need of service.
Who at GM do I have to talk to?
