So I’ve been following this post for sometime…I have a 2016 GMC Sierra All terrain with 8speed auto and have had similar issues. Trans would jerk coming to a stop, clunks, shakes and shutters 30-60mph, lost power during acceleration, and I may have found a fix. I had it in the dealership many times, they said “this is normal”. Obviously it wasn’t. I got frustrated, called GM lemon law and they got involved with my case. Did the trans update, didn’t fix anything…. Maybe got worse to be honest. Then after fighting for a few weeks and few dealership visits they decided to take the truck in for a full assessment. After 2 days my truck was done. They replaced my valve body in my trans, apparently some of them had issues from factory. Did the valve body, and flushed the trans…haven’t had a problem since. Strong mid range power, shifts smoother, and no more jerks or clunks (so far). For all of you who are experiencing the same issues I had, give the valve body a shot. It controls shifting in your trans, and correct torque engagement. Dealership put mine in in 2 days. Love the truck again!
