I had a similar issue and this was one of the top Google results (which is why I’m resurrecting this thread).
I had to chat with GM support for a while. At this time their website/FAQ does NOT have this information, but here is what you need:
On newer 2016+ models, there is also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can search for those separately.
