Do you have money down on the order? If not jut walk away….
My brother ordered a 2017 Sierra CC SLT with 6.2L loaded back in late Sept, as of this weds its still at 1100. All this time the dealer was telling him they cannot understand why it won’t move off 1100. They are blowing smoke at him because without an allocation to place the order, it will never move off of 1100.
PS – The dealer claimed the sold order was accepted by GM but my brother called GMC customer service last week who in turn called the dealer and found it was at 1100 and not accepted by GM after 5 order cycles (5 weeks). Also the dealer would not give my brother the order number, always said they would but never did. GM customer service got it out of the dealer.
Moral, don’t always believe the BS the dealer will tell you.
My brother found a loaded 2017 with all the options he wanted ‘in transit’ to a dealer 150 miles away. They called the dealer yesterday, the truck should be in next week, its available and they are driving over today to make a deal on it. His local dealer has not clue. He gave them a week to find a dealer trade and as of yesterday they were still looking all the while he found 5 within a 100 miles. Dealer suck, they lie to customers all the time.
Status 1100 – Order placed at dealer, won’t move unless dealer has an allocation to place an order.
