@LennonTurney good question! I imagine that the V6 Impala will get automatic engine stop/start when the Impala gets the next-gen 3.6L V-6 LGX engine. The real question now is when that will be.
It could be when the current/10th-generation Impala gets a refresh/mid cycle enhancement, which I’m guessing could take place for the 2018 model year. Or it could be that it won’t get the new LGX until the next (11th) generation Impala. That said, there have been whispers that there might not even be a next-gen Impala:
