Misfires are typically due to bad ignition components, plugs, wires, coil packs, also loose connections to those same components.how many miles on the vehicle?bad crank or cam sensor will also keep you from starting it.Have you ever replaced your fuel filter? a clogged filter can reduce fuel volume even if pressure is normal, a clogged filter also puts more load on a pump which will shorten its life. As far as the vehicle just shutting down, that could also be a bad ignition switch. Is the vehicle been fixed yet?
