Tboyreid, my issue was fixed today. The resolution HAS NOTHING to do with the iPod and my tech wanted me to pass on the resolution. This issue is with the software version on the radio. Most car owners are not aware or know how to get the latest firmware for their GM car. My iPod Touch (128 GB), is the newest generation of iPod which I purchased in 2016 while my Lacrosse is a 2013 and the radio was never upgraded. Apparently when I added additional songs and the car’s system was indexing the iPod library, it hit an internal code it could not rectify and went into a loop. Why this never happened before is the mystery. The iPod would play but none of the controls were active and a error message indicating to TRY AGAIN would come up on the display. When I hit the OK button the iPod would disconnect.
The technician updated my radio with the latest firmware for the InteliLink and everything is working fine. There was no cost to me. I don’t know if that was due to my warranty or not. I doubt if it was because I have a $100 deductible on all warranty work. The total duration of the fix was 40 minutes according to the work order. I think they just comped me for customer satisfaction and because it is a known issue for the InteliLink system but there is no way for the average car owner to know how to upgrade their firmware let alone know if they have the latest software.
