I have had only good results with my 8GB Nano iPod ( 3rd Gen ) – As I understand it, the flash memory (i.e., not a hard drive) allows this smaller capacity device to function. It is a communication flaw with the hard drives in the Classic that makes them hold more music, but also causes them to crash. On that basis, you should have similar success with an iPod Touch, but I haven’t tried that device (yet). If it would help, I can reformat the one I have and try it out… Are there others in the forum who know the answer??
