Meteorlady – I have a very similar issue with my 2016 Silverado. I have an older iPod Classic 80gb. It gets recognized when I plug it in, but no matter how I choose to listen (via artist, album, song, etc.) it always winds up starting from the very first song in alphabetical order. Sometimes I will choose an album and it will play maybe 2 or 3 songs in the correct order, then it switches to the next song on my entire iPod in alphabetical order on it’s own. Very frustrating and annoying! I was wondering if it was because my iPod was older. I hope that someone from GM will reply to these posts with some usable information soon. We are paying WAY too much for these cars to deal with this kind of stuff. Ugh.
