Just want to emphasize something about the 2.0L Turbo’s hotside inducer. After further thought on the 3000rpm spooling characteristic I find it quite a stroke of genius for Chevorlet to offer a different spooling option for the 2.0L Turbo as opposed to the Ford way. The Ford way being that the 16 ecoboost can build boost from 1400rpm and the eco-turbo Camaro starts off at 3000rpm. For the Camaro this means you will be set at 3000rpm with that massive torque curve you will see on a dyno graph. This is going to be a big deal cause this means the camaro will do real good after the 1/8th mile. This could possibly mean it can run down an ecoboost mustang after the 1/8th mile and pour it on all the way to the traps. If 2.0L eco-turbo owners tighten up that wastegate spring they could achieve 25-30psi easily. Stock the 2.0l camaro is set to 24psi. With a tightened wastegate it could achieve 6 more psi of boot. 1psi of boost is worth 20rwhp. This means with an extra 6psi of boost 20×6=120rwhp! Add 120 to 500rwhp and u get 620rwhp factory stock!!!!!

That’s insane! All u need is a vice grip to tight the wastegate. So looking at it from this perspective, Chevorlet is not going to have any problems selling this 2.0L Camaro.. In fact, both Ford and Chevorlet have both done their homework on both platforms!! They should both feel proud of their accomplishments, in introducing both cars. If u buy either one, never sell it. This batch of 2016 cars will be remembered as all time favorites like the SVO and Grand National sports cars!

Just for the record, of course you can tell that I am not biased in any way. I will own both cars and have no need to root for one side or the other. Its a breath of fresh air owning both cars! Also, I doubt very seriously I will ever get smoked in the quarter mile by being run down after the 1/8th by a new 2.0L turbo with 24psi.. I am worried about the camaro which is producing 30psi after the 1/8th mile, cause 620rwhp will be nasty in a 2.0L camaro which runs down an ecoboost mustang before the traps!

All this means is 2016 Mustang ecoboost owners and 2.0L camaro owners need to keep a pair of vice grips handy just in case!
