Watch the Top Gear Episode of the C7 vs the GTR. Despite being heavier and having less HP, the GTR smokes the vette in both straight line accelleration and track times/cornering due to the AWD.
AWD>2wd in super cars.
This is why the top performing cars in both acceleration and handling are AWD, 2wd can’t keep up. THere’s a lot of nostalgia to 2wd, but performance numbers don’t lie.
More HP will do nothing for a vette at this point, even GM admits this, this is why the C8 WILL have Awd.
