GMC Terrain AT4
The GMC Terrain AT4 is an off-road-oriented variant of the crossover, entering the market for the 2022 model year, making it the newest AT4 model and completing the sub-brand’s expansion across the entire GMC lineup.
Set to arrive in the late summer of 2021, the off-road-oriented model will feature a rugged exterior, confident capability and advanced technology.

As GM Authority reported, the Terrain AT4 will be offered exclusively with all-wheel-drive, just like its larger sibling, the Acadia AT4. Other features include a unique front fascia, gloss black-painted wheels wrapped in off-road-capable tires, a steel protective front skid plate, and AT4 exterior badging. Similar to the Acadia AT4 crossover, the Terrain AT4 lacks front red tow hooks, which are featured on all other AT4-branded models, including the Sierra 1500 AT4, Sierra HD AT4, Canyon AT4, and Yukon AT4.
On the inside, the GMC Terrain AT4 is tailored to bring out the spirit of adventure. The leather-wrapped steering wheel and Jet Black leather-appointed driver and front-passenger seats are heated. The seats also feature unique perforations and Mojave accent stitching. Double needle accent stitching is used for the seat back bolsters, and AT4 badging is embroidered in the head restraints. Dark-finished aluminum trim and patterned decor on the instrument panel add even more unique refinement to the interior.
Adding to this style and comfort are highly functional features. The fold-flat front- and rear-passenger seats allow for ample space to carry cargo. This is especially useful for those long weekend getaways when you need room for camping gear or sports equipment.
Standard equipment also includes a hands-free programmable power liftgate with logo projection is convenient when loading and unloading items. The open position has three settings – max, three-quarters, and off – for situations where overhead space varies.
The liftgate can be opened multiple ways once Terrain AT4 is placed in Park. This includes using the remote key fob, the center of the switch used to adjust opening heights or the touch pad on the liftgate itself. The hands-free method of opening the liftgate is equally as simple. First, look for the GMC logo projected under the bumper once your key fob is about 6 feet from the vehicle. Then kick your foot over the logo. The liftgate will open once your foot is brought back.
