2025 GMC Sierra 3500 HD Updates, Changes, New Features

The 2025 GMC Sierra 3500 HD receives a variety of small changes for the sixth model year of the heavy-duty truck’s fourth generation.

These changes follow the 2020 Sierra 3500 HD, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign), followed by a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 Sierra 3500 HD.

Model Line

No changes. The trim level structure carries over from the 2024 model year:

• Pro (1SA)
• SLE (3SA)
• SLT (4SA)
• AT4 (4SB)
• Denali (5SA)
• Denali Ultimate (5SB)

Exterior

• Addition of 20-inch Bright face wheels with dark painted pockets (Q7J)
• Changes:
  • Spray-on Bedliner (CGN) now features a GMC logo on the back wall for the following trims:
    • AT4
    • Denali
    • Denali Ultimate
  • MultiPro Tailgate is now available on the SLE trim (QK2)
  • Rear wheelhouse liners (S41) are now standard on Denali and Denali Ultimate Dual Rear Wheel models
• Deletions:
  • 20-inch machined aluminum wheel with bright Silver accents (Q7R)
  • 20-inch multi-dimensional Chrome aluminum wheels (SKW)
  • 20-inch Chrome aluminum wheels (SHL)
  • Exterior color Redwood Metallic (G48)

Interior

No changes.

Mechanical

• Addition of Universal Vehicle Module (KGU)
• Changes:
  • 120-volt power outlet (KI4) is now standard on the SLE trim
  • 120-volt bed-mounted power outlet (KC9) is now standard on the SLE trim
  • PTO eliminated from RWD variants (PTO)
  • E85 fuel capability eliminated from Regular Cab models (E85)

Driver Assistance Technology

• Changes:
  • Cruise Control (K34) is now standard on the Pro trim
  • Trailer Brake Controller (JL1) is now standard on the Pro trim
  • Front and Rear Park Assist has been added to the following packages:
    • 1SA Pro Safety Plus Package (PQA)
    • Sierra HD Pro Safety Plus Package (PED)
    • Fleet Convenience Package (ZLQ)
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG) is now standard on AT4 and Denali trims
  • Pickup bed delete (ZW9) is no longer available on SLT trim
• Deletions:
  • Rear Park Assist (UD7)
  • Box Delete (ZW9) removed from SLT Crew cab models
