Production of the 2025 GMC Sierra 3500 HD began on August 19th, 2024. The truck is produced at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.
Platform
The 2025 Sierra 3500 HD continues to ride on a heavy duty variant of the GM T1 platform. Otherwise known as GMT-T1 or T1XX, the architecture is designed for pickup trucks and body-on-frame SUVs.

Beyond 2025
We expect the fourth-generation Sierra 3500 HD to remain in production through the 2027 model year, at which point it will be overhauled for the next generation as a 2028 model.
