Here’s what we expect for the 2017 GMC Sierra 1500:
- Updated color palette with new exterior colors
- Complete phase-out of six-speed 6L80 MYC automatic transmission in favor of the new eight-speed automatic 8L90 M5U, even on the base 4.3L V6 LV3 engine. The 8-speed 8L90 is available on the 2016 Sierra, but only with the 5.3L L83 V8 and 6.2L L86 V8
