GMC AT4
AT4 is a GMC sub-brand of off-road-oriented vehicles with applications for the entire GMC lineup – except for the Savana – including the Sierra 1500, Sierra HD, Canyon, Yukon, Acadia, and Terrain nameplates.
AT4 was created as a unique persona that offers credible capability while still providing premium everyday comforts. AT4 variants distinctively combine off-road capability, innovative technology and bold design, along with GMC’s premium refinement to practically complement an authentic outdoor lifestyle. Core AT4 design includes premium rugged exterior details, featuring black chrome grille, fog light surrounds and rear appliques, as well as unique authentic aluminum interior decor and premium fabric colors.
Notably, 2019 Sierra 1500 launched the AT4 sub-brand, and replaces the All Terrain for models that offered such a trim level, which include the Acadia. Sierra 1500, and Canyon.

Canyon AT4
The GMC Canyon AT4 mid-size pickup entered the market for the 2021 model year, at which time the nameplate underwent a refresh of sorts, receiving a new front fascia and other notable changes, including the AT4 trim level which replaced the All Terrain trim level.
GM Authority was the first to report that the 2021 GMC Canyon AT4 would offer a new special edition model, which has since been revealed as the new Off-Road Performance Edition, offering even more rugged capability to the already capable Canyon AT4 to provide customers with the confidence to “venture into rugged off-road environments, all while maintaining the premium comforts they have come to expect from GMC.”
One notable improvement that the Off-Road Performance Edition has over the regular Canyon AT4 is a factory-installed front suspension leveling kit that raises the front of the pickup truck by 1 inch for additional ground clearance. And because the front air dam has been removed, the kit gives you a 29.5-degree front approach angle, a 35.8 percent increase. This will help when climbing up obstacles.

When at this maximum height, the Yukon AT4 offers a nearly 32-degree approach angle for added off-road capability.
Following the AT4 color scheme, the AT4 features dark accents throughout, as well as a pair of red recovery hooks.
