2025 GMC Canyon Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2025 GMC Canyon receives a variety of small changes for the third model year of the third-generation pickup truck.

These changes follow the 2023 Canyon, which was the introductory year of the overhaul (redesign and re-engineering) and the 2024 Canyon, which introduced the AT4X AEV Edition package.

Model Line

The 2025 GMC Canyon is offered as a mid-size pickup truck in the Crew Cab, Short Box configuration and in 2WD or 4WD across the following trim levels (product code in parentheses):

  • Elevation (T4C43) – 2WD or 4WD
  • AT4 (T4E43) – 4WD only
  • Denali (T4F43) – 4WD only

For the 2025 model year, the AT4X model was deleted as a trim level, becoming a package (RPO Code XEW) offered on the AT4 trim level. Similarly, the AT4X AEV Edition (XEV) becomes a package for the AT4X trim (see below).

      • 275/60R20SL AT blackwall tires (QAE)
      • 20-inch aluminum wheel (RHO)
      • Bed mounted sports bar (LPO SBY)
      • Black Badge (LPO RIK)
    • Availability: available only on the AT4 trim level
  • Addition of Snorkel (LPO 5XC)
    • Available only on AT4 trim level
  • Addition of acoustic laminated windshield
    • Available on AT4 with the Technology Plus Package, and standard on Denali
  • Deletion of optional Mud Terrain tire option (R3O) on AT4
    • For the 2024 model year, the Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mud Terrain (MT) tires were optional on the 18-inch wheels
    • With this change, the only way to get MT tires on the Canyon from the factory is to opt for the AT4X package
  • Deletion of optional 20-inch wheel (RD5) as standalone option on AT4
    • With this change, the only way to get a 20-inch wheel on the Canyon AT4 is to opt for the Nightfall Edition

Driver Assist Technology

  • Deletion of Blind Zone Steering Assist (UKI)
    • Replaced with Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering (Y5W)
    • The feature is included and only available as part of the Canyon Safety Plus Package (Y5W), optional across all trims
  • Addition of Rear Seat Belt Indicator (UH5)
    • Standard on all trim levels
  • Canyon Safety Plus Package (Y5W) is now standard on Elevation and AT4
    • Content:
      • Rear Park Assist (UD7)
      • Rear Cross Traffic Braking (UFB)
      • Blind Zone Steering Assist (UKI)
    • For the 2024 model year, these features were available as options on Elevation and AT4 and required the Convenience Package (WPC)
