The 2020 GMC Canyon gets several minor updates, changes and new features:
Model Line
- Discontinuation of the All Terrain Extended Cab model (T2P53)
- Discontinuation of 2WD Long Box models
Exterior
- New Carbon Black Metallic exterior paint color
- Addition of Remote Locking Tailgate on Canyon trim level as part of Convenience Package, which also includes:
- Remote Keyless Entry
- Remote Locking Tailgate
- Electronic cruise control
- Rear window electric defogger
- Theft-deterrent system
- EZ-Lift tailgate
Interior
- Premium GMC Infotainment System with Navigation and 8-inch diagonal color touch-screen is replaced with next-gen GMC Infotainment System with Navigation and 8-inch screen
- Available on SLE, All Terrain and SLT; standard on Denali
- Driver Alert Package is now available on All Terrain and includes Rear Park Assist. Package includes:

- Addition of Tire Fill Alert as standard feature
- Introduction of California Elevation Special Edition as dealer-installed option for dealers located in California.
- Package includes:
- Black GMC Emblem
- All-weather floor liners
- Black 3″ assist steps with round step bars
- Front and Rear splash guards
- Available only on Elevation Edition models on SLE trim level.
