GM BEV Prime Platform
The GM BEV Prime platform is an upcoming global General Motors vehicle architecture that will underpin a series of premium electric vehicles (EVs).
Although very little is currently known about the GM BEV Prime platform, GM Authority sources indicate that it will be a “more premium” version of the bread-and-butter GM BEV3 platform by utilizing more advanced construction methods. The platform will also be able to fit more GM Ultium battery cell modules for longer electric driving range, as well as a higher quantity of Ultium motors for more power, torque, as well as higher levels of performance and refinement.
GM Authority sources tell us that the BEV Prime platform will underpin the following vehicles:
- Chevrolet Corvette EV crossover
- Chevrolet Corvette EV sedan
- Cadillac EV D Segment Sedan (CT5 successor)
- Cadillac EV E Segment Sedan (CT6 successor)
- Cadillac Escalade EV crossover SUV (rumored “mini” Cadillac Escalade EV)
- Buick premium EV crossover
- No expected uses
