The headquarters is located on-site with the Port Melbourne engine plant, which ended production in 2016.
In 2013, GM-Holden announced that it would transition to a national sales company and full-line importer in Australia and New Zealand by the end of 2017. In dong so, it would discontinue engine manufacturing at the Port Melbourne engine plant and vehicle assembly operations at the GM-Holden Elizabeth plant, while also reducing its engineering operations in Australia by the end of 2017.
