GM 1.5-Liter Turbo I4 Ecotec LFV Engine

The LFV is a turbo-charged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine produced by General Motors for use in a broad range of vehicles. The LFV is part of an all-new engine, modular family of engines due to launch in the 2015-2016 timeframe.

Known by its LFV production code, GM’s new 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Ecotec represents a new generation of four-cylinder engines designed for high efficiency and brisk performance. The LFV made its debut in the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and subsequently in the 2018 Buick Regal Sedan for the Chinese market.

Full specifications for GM’s LFV engine are currently not available. We will update this section when GM reveals more information on the engine.
