These changes follow the 2024 Chevrolet Trax, which was the introductory year of the second-gen model, and the 2025 Chevy Trax and 2026 Chevy Trax, which saw minor changes.

Model Line & Body Style
We expect the 2027 Chevrolet Trax to continue being offered in one body style – a four-door subcompact crossover – across the following trim levels:

- 2RS

The LS trim might be folded into the LT trim level, which could be configured to cover the base LS price and equipment level and the current positioning of the LT trim.
Changes and Updates
It’s possible that the 2027 Chevrolet Trax will receive a mid-cycle refresh, though minor changes, such as new colors and package-level changes, are also possible.

Powertrain
We expect the 2027 Chevrolet Trax to carry over the single powertrain (engine and transmission) from the 2025 and 2026 models in the form of the turbocharged 1.2L I-3 LBP engine.

Platform
The 2027 Chevrolet Trax will continue riding on the GM VSS-F vehicle set shared most directly with the Buick Envista. A different version of VSS-F underpins the Chevrolet Trailblazer starting with the 2021 model year (and newer).
Production
The 2027 Trax will continue being produced at the GM Changwon plant in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. The plant is dedicated to the production of the second-gen Trax.
2027 model year production will likely begin in the summer of 2026.

Starting prices for the 2027 Trax will be announced closer to the start of production.

Beyond 2027
We expect the second-generation Trax will remain in production at least thru the 2030 model year.
Global Availability
The second-generation Trax is sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South Korea. This model is produced at the Changwon plant in South Korea.
The Trax is also sold in China, where it is built locally and called as the Chevy Seeker.
