The 2025 Chevrolet Trax receives minor changes, such as the deletion of four exterior colors, the addition of two exterior colors, and a change in one engine option.

Powertrain
The 2025 Chevrolet Trax carries over the single powertrain (engine and transmission) from the 2024 model, but the engine now becomes E85 compatible. As a result of the change, the engine’s RPO code changes from LIH to LBP).

Platform
The 2025 Chevrolet Trax rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set shared most directly with the Buick Envista. A different version of VSS-F underpins the Chevrolet Trailblazer starting with the 2021 model year (and newer).
Production
The 2025 Trax is produced at the GM Changwon plant in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea. The plant is dedicated to the production of the second-gen Trax.
Production started on March 3rd, 2024.

Beyond 2025
We expect the second-generation Trax will remain in production at least thru the 2030 model year. A mid-cycle refresh could arrive for the 2027 model year.
Global Availability
The second-generation Trax is sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South Korea. This model is produced at the Changwon plant in South Korea.
The Trax is also sold in China, where it is built locally and called as the Chevy Seeker.
