2018 Chevrolet Trax Changes, Updates, New Features

The Chevrolet Trax receives various updates and changes for the 2018 model year, including:

  • Deletion of three exterior colors:
    • Crimson Metallic
    • Orange Burst Metallic
    • Blue Topaz Metallic
  • Addition of three exterior colors:
    • Storm Blue Metallic
    • Sandy Ridge Metallic
    • Cajun Red Tintcoat (available at extra cost)
  • Replacement of Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 7-inch diagonal color touch-screen (IOA) with Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 7-inch diagonal color touch-screen (IOR); it’s currently unclear what is the difference between the two units
  • Addition of standard content, as the Driver Confidence II Package becomes standard on Premier (1LZ) models. The package includes:
    • Forward Collision Alert
    • Lane Departure Warning
    • The package was available for the 2017 Chevy Trax
  • Addition of new Redline Edition package, which includes:
    • 17″ Black finish aluminum wheels with Red accent stripes
    • P215/55R18 all-season blackwall tires
    • Black mirror caps
    • Black grille with Black surround
    • Front and rear black bowties
    • Black beltline moldings
    • Black Trax badge with Red outline
    • Jet Black Deluxe Cloth/Leatherette seating
    • Available with the following exterior colors:
      • Silver Ice Metallic
      • Summit White
      • Mosaic Black Metallic
  • Change in Driver Confidence Package availability, which now requires LT Convenience Package on LT models
  • Change in Sun and Sound Package availability, which now requires LT Convenience Package on LT models
  • Addition of power sunroof as standard feature on Premier (1LZ) models (was available for 2017 Chevrolet Trax)

The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.

Following are GM’s official RPO-level changes and updates for the 2018 Chevrolet Trax:

Deletions

  • Exterior color (G7T) Crimson Metallic
  • Exterior color (GGQ) Orange Burst Metallic
  • Exterior color (GTS) Blue Topaz Metallic
  • (IOA) Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 7″ diagonal color touch-screen
  • (PCU) Driver Confidence II Package ([UEU] Forward Collision Alert and [UFL] Lane Departure Warning are now standard on 1LZ models)

New Features

  • (WBL) Redline Edition, includes (REN) 17″ Black finish aluminum wheels with Red accent stripes, (RAK) P215/55R18 all-season blackwall tires, Black mirror caps, (GGC) Black grille with Black surround, front and rear Black bowties, Black beltline moldings, (CG6) Black Trax badge with Red outline and (AES) Jet Black Deluxe Cloth/Leatherette seating (available with exterior colors [GAN] Silver Ice Metallic, [GAZ] Summit White and [GB8] Mosaic Black Metallic)
  • Exterior color (G35) Storm Blue Metallic
  • Exterior color (G8K) Sandy Ridge Metallic
  • Exterior color (GPJ) Cajun Red Tintcoat (extra cost)
  • (IOR) Chevrolet MyLink Radio with 7″ diagonal color touch-screen
  • (S55) LPO, All-weather floor mats

Changes

  • (PCW) Driver Confidence Package and (PCJ) Sun and Sound Package now require (PDB) LT Convenience Package on LT models
  • [UEU] Forward Collision Alert is now standard on 1LZ models (was included with [PCU] Driver Confidence II Package in 2017)
  • [UFL] Lane Departure Warning is now standard on 1LZ models (was included with [PCU] Driver Confidence II Package in 2017)
  • (CF5) Power sunroof is now standard on 1LZ models (was available in 2017)
