2025 Chevrolet Traverse Updates, Changes, New Features

The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse receives a variety of small changes for the second model year of the crossover SUV’s third generation.

These changes follow the 2024 Traverse, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign) and launched the third-generation model.

Model Line

  • Deletion of three trim levels:
    • 1LS
    • 2LS
    • 1FL
  • Addition of the high country trim level in either FWD or AWD:
    • High Country 1LZ (FWD)
    • High Country 2LZ (AWD)

This re-arranges the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse trim level lineup as follows:

FWD

  • 1LT (1LB45)
  • 1LZ / High Country (1LD56)
  • 1RS (1LD56)

AWD

  • 2LT (1LB45)
  • Z71
  • 2LZ / High Country (1LD56)
  • 2RS (1LD56)

Exterior

  • Addition of two wheel options:
    • 22-inch aluminum wheels (RVD)
      • Standard and only available on High Country (1LZ and 2LZ)
    • 22-inch Bright aluminum wheels (LPO SAK)
      • Available on LT (1LT and 2LT) or on High Country (1LZ and 2LZ)

RVD wheel (new for 2025)

SAK wheel (new for 2025)

  • Deletion of removable trailer hitch (LPO SDE)
    • For the 2024 model year, this was optional on LS (1FL, 1LS, 2LS) and LT (1LT and 2LT), but became unavailable roughly halfway through the model year; it was not available with the Trailering Package (V92)
    • For the 2025 model year, those who wish to equip their Traverse with a trailer hitch need to opt for the Trailering Package (V92)
      • Content:
        • Hitch with hitch cover
        • Hitch view camera (PZ8)
        • Hitch guidance (CTT)
        • Heavy-duty cooling system (V08)
        • 220 amp alternator (KW5)
      • Availability:
        • Standard on all trim levels
  • Deletion of Not Equipped with Heated Wiper Park (R6G)

Interior

  • Cloth seats (H8K) removed from Z71
    • For the 2024 model year, cloth seats were available for Z71
      • For 2025, Evotex (leatherette) is the only available seat material for Z71

Mechanical

  • 170 Amp alternator (KW7) deleted
    • For the 2024 model year, this was standard on LS and LT trim levels
      • For 2025, the 220 Amp Alternator (KW5) replaces 170 Amp alternator as standard across on all trims

Driver Assist Technology

  • Three years of OnStar Remote Access (PRF) has been replaced with eight years of OnStar Basics plan
    • 2024 model year OnStar Remote Access Plan was included as standard for a three year duration and was standard on all trims
    • 2025 model year OnStar Basics Plan is included as standard for an eight year duration and standard on all trims
      • The plan enables access via the myChevrolet app for things like remote commands, plus built-in voice assistance, real-time traffic and navigation, and Automatic Crash Response

Packages

  • Addition of Sun and Wheel Package (BAQ)
    • Content:
      • Dual glass, panoramic, sliding power sunroof with power sunshade (CAJ)
      • 20-inch Carbon Flash Metallic machined-face aluminum wheels (Q9P)
    • Availability:
      • Available only on LT trim levels
      • Not available with Midnight/Sport Edition (WJU)
  • Trailering Package (V92) is now standard on LT
    • Content:
      • Hitch with hitch cover
      • Hitch View (PZ8)
      • Hitch Guidance (CTT)
      • Heavy-duty cooling system (V08)
      • 220 Amp alternator (KW5)
  • Driver Confidence Package (BGP) changes from Standard to Available on LT and Z71
    • Content:
      • 120-volt power outlet (KI6)
      • Rear Pedestrian Alert (UKK)
      • HD Surround Vision (UV2)
      • Traffic Sign Recognition (UVX)
  • Addition of Z71 Adventure Package (LPO PCM)
    • Content:
      • Molded assist step (LPO VQO)
      • Roof Cross Rails (LPO VLL)
      • 18-inch gloss black wheels (LPO EU2)
    • Availability:
      • Available only on Z71
