2023 Chevrolet Tahoe Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe receives a variety of small changes and updates for the third model year of the full-size SUV nameplate’s fifth generation.

These changes follow the 2021 Tahoe, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign), followed by a few small changes and updates to the 2022 Tahoe. The 2024 Tahoe follows the following year with some more small changes and updates, while the 2025 Tahoe will introduce a long-anticipated midcycle refresh, which was initially expected for the 2024 model year.

As a reminder, the Tahoe is offered as a full-size five-door SUV across the following trim levels:

  • Commercial / Fleet (fleet only)
  • LS
  • LT
  • RST
  • Z71
  • Premier
  • High Country

Model Line

  • No changes

Mechanical

  • No changes

Exterior

  • Deletion of three exterior colors:
    • Satin Steel Metallic (G9K)
    • Evergreen Gray Metallic (GED)
    • Cherry Red Tintcoat (GSK)
  • Addition of three exterior colors:
    • Silver Sage Metallic (G6N)
    • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
    • Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
  • Addition of two new wheel options:
    • 22-inch polished aluminum wheels (SII)
      • Available on LS, LT, RST, Premier and High Country
      • Includes wheel locks (SFE, LPO-level item)
    • 22-inch six-spoke Carbon Flash Metallic aluminum wheels with selective machining (SIY)
      • Available on LS, LT, RST, Premier and High Country
      • Includes wheel locks (SFE, LPO-level item)
  • Addition of Black grille with Chevrolet lettering (RZB)
    • Available on all trim levels except for Z71 and High Country

Interior

  • Change in steering wheel wrap material
    • Commercial/fleet model continues with Urethane steering wheel (NK5), while LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country trim levels now have steering wheels wrapped in simulated leather (N57)
    • For the 2022 model year, these trims were equipped with leather-wrapped steering wheels (NP5)

Safety / Security

  • No changes

Driver Assist Technology

  • Addition of Super Cruise (UKL)
    • Available as part of the Advanced Technology Package, which also includes Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist (UKZ) and Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)
    • Only available on Premier and High Country models

Functional

  • No changes

Packages

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG) and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN) have been removed from the Premium Package (PCU), Premium Package 2 (RGK) and the High Country Deluxe Package (PDM) and are now standalone options
    • For the 2022 model year, these features were only available in conjunction with the Premium Package (PCU) and Premium Package 2 (RGK) and the High Country Deluxe Package (PDM)
