The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.
The 2018 Chevrolet Suburban continues to be offered as an extended-length full-size four-door SUV. A shorter wheel-base model is available as the Chevrolet Tahoe.
Like all 11th-generation units of the Chevrolet Suburban, the 2018 Suburban continues to ride on GM’s GMT K2 platform shared with the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV. The same basic architecture is also used by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The 2018 Chevy Suburban is assembled by GM USA at the GM Arlington plant in Arlington, Texas, USA.
On April 6th, 2018, Chevrolet officially announced the 2018 Suburban Rally Sport Truck (RST) special edition. The package adds the following exterior features:

- Specially-tuned Magnetic Ride Control suspension
In the Tahoe, the Performance Package must be ordered with the 2018 Tahoe Rally Sport Truck (RST).
