The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will represent the second model year of the first generation electric pickup truck, for which it will receive key changes, including the introduction of new trim levels as well as greater availability of units, following limited trims and limited production of the 2024 model year.

2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV Trail Boss

In May 2024, Chevrolet announced plans to introduce the LT, RST (non First Edition) and Trail Boss trims. LT and RST will arrive in late 2024, while Trail Boss is set to launch in 2025. It’s also possible that LTZ, Premier or High Country trims will also come to market, though these have yet to be officially announced or confirmed by Chevy.

The Crew Cab Short Bed configuration (CT35843) will remain the only configuration for the 2025 Silverado EV.

Production

Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado EV takes place at the GM Factory Zero Plant in Detroit, Michigan. Production will begin in August 2024 and is expected to end roughly a year later.

Powertrain

The 2025 Silverado EV will continue being available in a dual-motor configuration, with varying power and torque outputs and battery capacities. For reference, here are the 2024 Silverado EV powertrain details.

Towing

The 2025 Silverado EV will continue being able to tow a minimum of 10,000 pounds on to a maximum of 12,500 pounds, depending on trim level.

Platform

Pricing

Pricing for the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV hasn’t been released yet. The 2024 model started at $68,895 for the base WT model.

Seating

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV continues to be offered in a single seating configuration that features two front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a bench seat in the rear (seating three), resulting a 2-3 setup.

Beyond 2025

We expect the current, first-generation Chevrolet Silverado EV to remain in production at least through the 2030 model year. A mid-cycle refresh will likely arrive for the 2028 model year.
