The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 represents the fifth model year of the fourth generation light duty pickup truck, following a refresh for the 2022.5 (interim) model year. For the 2023 model year, the Silverado 1500 sees a few small changes and updates.
As a reminder, the 2023 Silverado 1500 is offered as a full-size light duty pickup across the following trim levels:

Model Line
- No changes
Mechanical
- LM2 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 engine replaced by LZ0 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6 engine
- This second generation straight six diesel brings more power, torque and higher levels of refinement compared to the LM2
- Available on Custom Trail Boss, LT, (1LT), RST, Trail Boss LT, LTZ and High Country trim levels
Exterior
- Deletion of two exterior colors:
- Silver Ice Metallic (GAN)
- Cherry Red Tintcoat (GSK)
- Addition of three exterior colors:
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
- Harvest Bronze Metallic (GXN)
- Addition of Protection film (VQE)
Interior
- Addition of Jet Black/Umber Interior colorway (HF0)
- This new interior colorway is only available on the High Country trim level
