The Chevy Silverado 1500 half-ton full-size pickup truck receives several updates, new features, and equipment changes for the 2017 model year.
Starting on the outside, the 2017 Silverado loses three colors while gaining two new ones:
Deleted Colors
- Slate Grey Metallic
- Tungston Metallic
- Autumn Bronze Metallic
New Colors
- Graphite Metallic
- Pepperdust Metallic
Rounding out the changes to the exterior is the inclusion of a capless fuel fill system as a standard feature across every model and trim level, with the exception of trucks ordered as pickup box delete, which will continue having the capped fuel fill.
In addition, the 2017 Silverado 1500 gets a new P265/65R18 off-road tire as an option on the 1LT trim and a revised High Country package, which now includes:
- Enhanced Driver Alert Package
- IntelliBeam headlights
- Power adjustable pedals
- Heated leather-wrapped steering wheel
The 2017 Silverado also receives three new features:
- Teen Driver mode
- Low Speed Mitigation Braking as part of the Enhanced Driver Alert Package
- Chevrolet MyLink (IO5 and IO6) audio systems now include Android Auto
Finally, the rearview camera is now a standard feature on the LT trim level and is therefore removed from the LT Convenience Package, Texas Edition and All Star Edition.

- (GAJ) high Country now includes; (Y86) Enhanced Driver Alert Package, (TQ5) IntelliBeam headlights,
- (JF4) power adjustable pedals and (UVD) heated leather-wrapped steering wheel
- (UVC) Rear vision camera is standard on LT trim and removed from (PCM) LT Convenience Package,
- (PDA) Texas Edition and All Star Edition
- Capped fuel fill is included with (ZW9) pickup box delete
