2020 Chevrolet Impala Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2020 Chevrolet Impala gets several minor updates, changes and new features for its final year before being discontinued:

Model Line

• Deletion of LS model (model code 1GX69), which includes 1LS (for retail) and 1FL (for fleet) equipment groups

Exterior

• Deletion of four exterior colors:
  • Blue Velvet Metallic
  • Nightfall Gray Metallic
  • Mosaic Black Metallic
  • Pepperdust Metallic
• Deletion of single-outlet exhaust as a result of LS model deletion
• Three wheel-related changes:
  • Deletion of 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels (Q6M)
  • Addition of 19-inch aluminum wheels (57M)
  • 20-inch aluminum wheels (RQ9) are no longer a free flow option and are now only available through the Premier Confidence Package

Interior

• Deletion of Jet Black/Dark Titanium interior color combination
• Deletion of Jet Black/Light Wheat interior color combination

Mechanical

• Discontinuation of 2.5L I-4 LCV engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, 3.23 final drive axle ratio and 800 cca battery as a result of LS model discontinuation
• Deletion of stop-start engine control system as a result of LS model discontinuation

Packages

Deletion of four packages, including:

• LT Entertainment Package, which was previously optional on LT models, required the 3.6L V6 engine and included:
  • Chevrolet Infotainment System with Navigation
  • Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound premium 11-speaker system
  • Single-slot CD/MP3 player
  • 120-volt power outlet
  • Ambient door lighting
  • Ambient instrument panel lighting
• LT Leather Package, which was previously optional on LT models, required the 3.6L V6 engine as well as the LT Convenience Package and included leather seating surfaces and front passenger 8-way power seat adjuster.
• Midnight Edition Appearance Package, which was previously available on LT and Premier models and included:
  • 19-inch Special Midnight Edition Black-painted pocket wheels
  • Front Black Bowtie
  • Rear Black Bowtie
  • Body-color surround grille
  • Rear spoiler
  • Pedal cover set
• Sunroof and Spoiler Package, which was previously optional on LT models, required the 3.6L V6 engine and included:
  • Power, tilt-sliding sunroof with additional skylight fixed glass aft of the sliding glass, with power sunshade
  • Rear spoiler
