Production

Production of the 2024 Chevrolet Express began on September 5th, 2023 and ended on October 4th, 2024. The GM Wentzville Plant in Missouri, USA produces all Express variants, while the Navistar Plant in Springfield, Ohio produces the Express Cutaway. Production will end in October 2024.

Platform

Like all units of the first generation Express, the 2024 Chevrolet Express continues to ride on the GM GMT 610 platform shared with the GMC Savana.

Seating

The 2024 Express is offered in three seating configurations, seating either two, twelve, or fifteen passengers.

  • Two-passenger configuration: available only on the Cargo and Cutaway models, this setup features front bucket seats, providing seating for two.
  • 12-passenger configuration: available only on the Passenger model, this setup features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a bench seat in the second and third rows (seating three) plus a 50/50 split bench seat in the fourth row (seating four), resulting in a 2-3-3-4 seating configuration.
  • 15-passenger configuration: available only on the Passenger model, this setup features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a bench seat in the second, third, and fourth row (seating three) and a 50/50 split bench seat in the fifth row (seating four), resulting in a 2-3-3-3-4 seating configuration.

Beyond 2024

We expect the current, first-generation Express to remain in production through at least the 2027 model year. After that, the model was expected to receive a redesign, but that might not be the case according to some reports.
