General Motors has filed various applications to register “Zora” with various trademark offices around the world.
The application, some of which have already been granted, reference cars, automobiles and parts thereof as the purpose of the trademark.
The Zora name is a tribute to the first Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, nicknamed “Father of the Corvette”. Arkus-Duntov is credited with pioneering the idea of a mid-engine Corvette.
We believe that the Zora name will be used for a variant of the upcoming mid-engined Corvette.
