2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 receives a mild mid-cycle refresh for the 2021 model year, consisting of updates to trim exterior, interior, trim levels and powertrain, representing the sixth model year of the second-generation Colorado.

A mid-cycle refresh can otherwise be referred to as a facelift or a mid-cycle enhancement (MCE) in GM parlance. To note, we initially expected the Colorado refresh to arrive for the 2019 and 2020 model years, which did not take place.

The 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2 receives the following updates:

Exterior

  • Revised front fascia:
    • ZR2 now includes “CHEVROLET” lettered grille with “flowtie” that was previously included on the ZR2 Bison
    • ZR2 now features red standard tow hooks
    • ZR2 gets new front fascia that looks even more aggressive while providing drivers with improved visibility
  • Tailgate now embossed with “Chevrolet”, replacing the traditional Chevy bowtie on the rear end
  • Addition of three exterior colors
    • Bright Blue Metallic
    • Cherry Red Tintcoat
    • Sand Dune Metallic
  • Deletion of five exterior colors
    • Pacific Blue Metallic
    • Silver Ice Metallic
    • Kinetic Blue Metallic
    • Shadow Gray Metallic
    • Cajun Red Tintcoat
  • Addition Black tailgate lettering option (LPO-level item)

The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.
