The Chevrolet Colorado made a favorable debut in 2015, shaking up what has become a very stagnant midsize pickup truck segment in North America.
The Colorado was awarded the following accolades:

- 2015 Colorado received the award in 2015
- 2016 Colorado Diesel received the award in 2016
- Best Pickup Truck of 2015 by Cars.com
- Reader’s Choiec Truck of the Year by AutoGuide (2016 Colorado Diesel)
- 5-Year Cost-to-Own award for the midsize truck category by Kelley Blue Book
During its launch, the Colorado was the fastest-selling truck in the industry, causing a third shift to be added to GM’s Wentzville, Missouri assembly facility where it is made.
