- Addition of Governor, which limits speed to 65-mph (Port Installed Option)
Packages
- Addition of Cold Weather Package (Port Installed Option), which includes:
- Engine block heater
- Heated fuel filter

Body Styles
The 2018 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward continues to be offered as a two-door and four-door truck in the medium duty class.
A Regular Cab Work Truck (1WT) model is the only trim level, however, it is available in various wheelbases.

Platform
Like all units of the 2017 model year and newer Chevy LFC, the 2018 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward continues to ride on the Isuzu N-Series platform in the case of the Chevrolet LCF 3500 – 5500 and the Isuzu F-Series platform (in the case of the Chevrolet 6500XD). The trucks are built by Isuzu for General Motors.
