2026 Cadillac XT6

The 2026 Cadillac XT6 will represent the seventh model year of the first-generation luxury three-row midsize crossover SUV, for which it’s expected to be discontinued from the North American market while receiving several minor changes for the Chinese market, where it received a small update for the 2025 model year. In other words, we expect the 2026 XT6 to be offered only in China, and not in North America.

This follows the 2020 XT6, which was the model’s introductory year, along with small changes for the 2021 XT6, 2022 XT6, 2023 XT6, 2024 XT6 and 2025 XT6.

  • Luxury
  • Premium Luxury

Powertrain

The 2026 Cadillac XT6 will likely carry over turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine and transmission from the 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 model years. Since the XT6 will likely be discontinued in the North American market, it will likely drop the atmospheric 3.6L V6 engine, which was never offered in the Chinese market.

Production

Production of the 2025 Cadillac XT6 will continue at the SAIC-GM Jinqiao Cadillac plant in Shanghai, China for the Chinese domestic market. Meanwhile, the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee will likely cease production of the XT6 in mid-2025.

Platform

The first-generation Cadillac XT6 is based on a variant of the GM C1 platform shared with various GM crossover SUVs.

Seating

The 2026 XT6 is expected to be offered in a single seating configuration in China, one that seats six passengers that features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a bench seat in the second row (seating three) and a bench seat in the third row (seating two).

Pricing

Starting MSRPs for the 2026 Cadillac XT6 have not yet been announced. We will update this section when they are.

Beyond 2026

We expect the current, first-generation XT6 to remain in production through the 2026 model year, with a small update arriving for the 2025 model year exclusively for the Chinese market. After the 2026 model year, the XT6 will likely be indirectly replaced by the Cadillac Vistiq. The XT6 might, however, live on for the 2027 model year.
