The XT2 is the possible name of an upcoming, unconfirmed small luxury crossover utility vehicle (CUV) from Cadillac.
Following is speculative and unconfirmed information about the Cadillac XT2. This page is a continuous work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis as we await official details from General Motors and Cadillac.

Currently, it’s unclear the direction in which Cadillac will take the XT2. However, based on Cadillac’s new CT/XT vehicle naming convention, we can deduce that it will be:
- A crossover utility vehicle (CUV)
- Small in size, likely mechanically related to the Cadillac CT2
As such, our best guess at this point is that the Cadillac XT2 will be a subcompact crossover with two rows of seating for five passengers.
The XT2 name is the result of a new naming scheme that names:
- All sedans, coupes, and wagons as CT followed by a number designating its order in the lineup
- All crossovers and SUVs as XT followed by a number designating its order in the lineup
General Motors filed a trademark application for the XT2 name with the Untied States Patent and Trademark Office on November 7th, 2014.
Cadillac has yet to announce or confirm an XT2. Even so, it’s possible that vehicle will come to market in the vicinity of calendar year 2018.
We expect the Cadillac XT2 to ride on GM’s Alpha platform.
We expect the Cadillac XT2 to be powered by a turbo-charged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
If the XT2 winds up being based on the Alpha architecture like we expect, then standard models will be rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive will be an option.
We expect the Cadillac XT2Â to be available as a four-door, subcompact crossover utility vehicle (CUV).

Assuming that the Cadillac XT2 will be a subcompact four-door crossover, it will compete with:
- BMW X1
- Audi Q3
- Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class
