The Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV receive a few minor changes and updates for the 2019 model year, representing the fifth model year of the current, fourth-generation Escalade, expected to be the last model year of the current model, as the next Escalade is expected for the 2020-2021 model years.
Changes, Updates, New Features
The 2019 Escalade and Escalade ESV changes and updates are as follows:
- Exterior:
- Deletion of two exterior colors
- Addition of two new exterior colors
- Addition of Hands-Free Liftgate with logo light
- Packages:
- Addition of Sport Package on Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum models that includes:
- Black Ice Chrome on front grille/grille header, lower fascia trim, bodyside molding and rear applique
- Black gloss DLO (daylight opening surround)
- Unique finish wheels
- The package was listed as “no longer available” as of June 2018
- Addition of Sport Package on Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum models that includes:

Platform
Like all fourth-generation units of the Cadillac Escalade, the 2019 Escalade continues to ride on GM’s GMT K2 platform shared with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL. The same basic architecture is also used by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

The 2019 Cadillac Escalade is assembled by GM USA at the GM Arlington plant in Arlington, Texas, USA.

Availability

We expect that the 2019 model year will be the last year of production for the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade, and that an all-new, next Cadillac Escalade will launch in the 2020-2021 model years.
