2018 Cadillac Escalade

The Cadillac Escalade full-size luxury SUV receives several minor updates and changes for the 2018 model year.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade and 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV both receive the same updates and changes for the 2018 model year, including:

  • Deletion of two exterior colors
  • Addition of one new exterior color
  • Deletion of two interior color combinations
  • Addition of two new interior color combinations
  • Replacement of 8-speed automatic transmission with the new GM 10-speed automatic 10L80 transmission, which is electronically controlled and features overdrive, tow/haul mode and tap up/tap down shifting
  • Addition of Tire Fill Alert to Tire Pressure Monitoring System
  • Improvement in center console, which now features deeper and wider cup holders and improved bin lighting
  • Addition of console bin organizer
  • Relocation of door trim seat memory switches higher on door panel for easier access
  • Addition of new 22-inch, 12-spoke polished wheels optional on Platinum model
  • Modification of Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control to resume and engage from stop as well as to be switchable to Regular Cruise Control
  • Addition of two new accessories

The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade continues to be offered as a full-size four-door SUV and extended-length full-size four-door SUV for the Escalade ESV.

Like all fourth-generation units of the Cadillac Escalade, the 2018 Escalade continues to ride on GM’s GMT K2 platform shared with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL. The same basic architecture is also used by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade is assembled by GM USA at the GM Arlington plant in Arlington, Texas, USA.
