The 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV will represent the fifth model year of the fifth generation Escalade, for which it will receive a mid-cycle enhancement, otherwise known as a refresh.
These changes follow the 2021 Escalade ESV, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign), followed by minor changes for the 2022 Escalade ESV, more minor changes plus the introduction of the Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV for the 2023 Escalade ESV, and more small changes for the 2024 Escalade ESV.

Expectations
We expect the 2025 Cadillac Escalade ESV to get the following changes and updates:
- Exterior
- New front fascia
- New rear fascia and/or tail lights
- New roof-mounted communications antenna fin powering a 5G connection (replacing the 4G connection in the 2021-2024 model)
- Addition of new 24-inch wheels, as first reported by GM Authority
- Interior
- Overhauled cockpit, with a full-width, coast-to-coast (pillar-to-pillar) infotainment screen
- This will result in updates to the center stack and center console
- The shifter will be relocated from the center console to the right hand steering wheel stalk, much like in the Cadillac Lyriq
- Powertrain
- New 3.0L LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine to replace the 3.0L LM2 Duramax diesel
- The new LZ0 delivers more power and torque, while fixing some refinement issues, most notably the long crank issue; see how the two compare at this link:Â LZ0 vs LM2
- Possible addition of dual-mode exhaust (active / valved exhaust) system on models with 6.2L V8 L87 engine
- New 3.0L LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine to replace the 3.0L LM2 Duramax diesel
Escalade ESV vs. Escalade
The Escalade ESV is a longer variant of the regular-length Escalade ESV, with the Escalade ESV having a longer wheelbase and overall length that delivers more interior space, particularly in the third row and cargo area.
This page is about the extended-length model. For information about the regular-length Escalade, see 2025 Escalade.
Platform
Like all fifth-generation Escalades, the 2025 Escalade ESV will continue to ride on the GM T1 platform. Otherwise known as GMT-T1 or T1XX, the architecture is designed for pickup trucks and body-on-frame SUVs.
Sales
See running Cadillac Escalade ESV sales numbers by month and/or quarter.
