The 2016 Cadillac ELR received a substantial amount of updates. But due to extremely slow sales, we expect Cadillac to discontinue the ELR extended-range electric luxury coupe after the 2016 model year.
The expected discontinuation of the ELR does not necessarily mean the end of electrified Cadillac vehicles, as the technology could very well be built into future main vehicle lines. The upcoming Cadillac CT6 PHEV is just one example of this strategy.
