The platform is a successor to the first generation Alpha architecture, or Alpha 1.
It is the same chassis the underpins the first-generation Cadillac CT4.
Production
The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V is assembled by GM USA at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan, USA for the North American market.
The model is also assembled by the Cadillac China manufacturing facility, otherwise known as Cadillac Jinqiao or Shanghai-GM Jinqiao, which is located in the town of Jinqiao, Pudong, Shanghai, China.
Price
Pricing for the 2022 CT5-V in the United States is expected to remain similar to the current starting price of the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V model, which is $48,690 in the rear-wheel drive configuration.

The 2022 CT5-V is expected to enter the market by the end of Q3 2020.
As GMAuthority was the first to report, the performance-inspired CT5-V model will not be sold in China, but may enter Mexico, Middle East and Russia.
