Cadillac Racing

Cadillac Racing refers to the luxury marque’s efforts in motorsports. As of the 2024 season, Cadillac competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), where it fields Cadillac V-Series.R prototype hybrid race cars in the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and Hypercar classes, respectively.

After running the Cadillac Northstar LMP project in the American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 2000 until 2002, General Motors returned to the track in 2012 with a pair of formidable CTS-V Coupe race cars to participate in the Pirelli World Challenge Series title.

After earning four victories and 14 podiums, the team won the World Challenge Manufacturer’s Championship and the World Challenge GT Driver’s Championship.

The V race cars aren’t street legal but maintain their allegiance to the performance DNA of the production CTS-V.

The current Cadillac race car is the V-Series.R, a hybrid prototype race car featuring a naturally aspirated 5.5L DOHC V8 hybrid engine, the only engine in its class that does not feature forced induction.
