Buick Verano

The Verano is a range of compact luxury sedans from General Motors’ Buick brand. It currently spans two separate generations.

The first-generation Buick Verano debuted for the 2012 model year.

Riding on GM’s Delta II platform, the first-gen Verano is essentially a rebadged Opel-Vauxhall Astra Sedan and is sold in China as the Buick Excelle GT.

The first-generation Verano will be replaced by the all-new, second-generation Verano for the 2017 model year.

The second-generation Verano is expected to debut in 2016 as a 2017 model year vehicle. In 2015, GM debuted the all-new Buick Verano and Excelle GT in China. Both are believed to be the vehicles that will be sold in North America as the Buick Verano and in Europe as the Opel Astra Sedan that’s part of the all-new K generation of Astras.
