The 2021 model year marks the debut of the all-new, second-generation Buick Envision. The Tri-Shield brand hopes the new model – which was originally intended to be dubbed the Buick Enspire – will attract new buyers to experience its unique approach to attainable luxury.
“The all-new 2021 Envision is part of Buick’s strategy to grow its family of premium SUVs,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president, Global Buick and GMC. “It joins the new 2020 Encore GX, which offers safety, functionality and styling tailored around the size and space preferences of today’s small and compact SUV buyers.”
The Envision maintains its position between the larger Enclave model and the smaller Encore GX and Encore models. Notably, Buick’s popular premium Avenir trim will be available on the 2021 Envision for the first time.

Exterior Design Highlights
With the latest technology and revamped design, the Tri-Shield brand says the Envision’s new E2 platform allows for a lower and wider stance compared to the previous generation Envision.
“The 2021 Envision will be lower and wider, with premium proportions and striking styling designed to combine the expressiveness of a car with the practicality of an SUV,” said Helen Emsley, executive director, Global Buick and GMC Design.
Striking is certainly an appropriate way to describe the angular, wide proportions of the second-generation Envision, which look absolutely stunning. It bears a lot of resemblance to the 2018 Buick Enspire Concept.
Interior Design Highlights
The 2021 Envision offers the automaker’s first available 10-inch diagonal touchscreen infotainment system, which will include in-vehicle apps, such as Amazon Alexa built-in, Spotify, Pandora and Fox Sports. Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will also be included.
“The design of and technology in the all-new Buick Envision are sure to be a hit in today’s growing premium SUV market,” said Emsley.
